VS1063-world's best MP3 encoder and audio codec chip

Tampere, Finland, on 15 April 2011-VLSI solution announces today VS1063, the world's most advanced audio codec chip.

VS1063 IC can encode many audio formats MP3, unanticipated and OggVorbis for g.711 u-law, g.711 A-law, g.722 and 16-bit PCM. OggVorbis and MP3 encoders property were carefully tuned for the highest possible audio fidelity for high-quality audio, streaming or record.

VS1063 can play MP2, MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC LC, AAC, FLAC HC, IMA, g.711 u-law, g.711, g.722 and WAV PCM formats, making it very suitable for Hi-Fi audio playback and streaming applications.
VS1063 also offers a full-duplex codec mode with Optional acoustic echo. Real-time codec makes it possible to create real-time full duplex audio for voice applications such as Internet phones and two-way audio radio links.

VS1063 provides many built-in sound effects, including bass enhancer and frequency control, 5-band equalizer, speed of swing and VLSI solving EarSpeaker Hall processing. It is also possible to insert the PCM sound effects or music from stereo analog input at the top of the sound.

To make VS1063 more versatile, it has 16 KB of RAM for custom applications. In combination with an interface with the integrated development environment solution VLSI VSIDE, platform offers nearly endless customization.

All of these features, combined with CD-quality analog-digital and digital to analog signal path performance, making VS1063 the first choice for a wide range of consumer and industrial applications.

VS1063 proposed in LQFP-48 RoHS compliant 7x7x1.4 package. It is PIN compatible with popular integrated VLSI solution VS1053b.

VS1063 table, which is the first part of a package of 3 of the documentation is available on VLSI solution for download at http://www.vlsi.fi/en/support/download.html. The other two parts, VS1063 and VS1063 programmer Handbook will be available in May 2011. VS1063, engineering sample is expected to be available in June 2011 after mass production devices in September 2011.
