Ron Burkle is interested in purchasing from King or leader Maloofs

"It was a very good presentation by the Mayor, city manager, Mr. Samueli and Mr. Schulman," Stern said, "but the Committee wanted more time to understand certain funding issues, certain issues, some issues concerning improvement of the fan experience and raised expectations of revenue at the building (Honda Center).
"And if the whole issue of relocation have been approved, what would be an appropriate cost of relocation? ... It seemed to be a good idea to put off for a couple of weeks.
"But incomplete is not a way to describe the documentation; incomplete is a better way to describe the understanding that our Committee had about the points of a very, very complex involving investments, loans, construction and arrangement of television, which were completed within a few weeks and were in fact being reviewedliterally, in recent days. So this is sort of like a timeout.
"It is very important. It is important to the Maloof family, it is important to Mr. Samueli Anaheim and people, it is important to Mayor Johnson and people in Sacramento. "
Stern said that the extension of the term was proposed jointly by the relocation and people in Anaheim and Sacramento.
When asked about the feasibility of having a third team in the market of the Southern California TV, Stern said that he couldn't talk to the owners, but was not a problem for him.
"This is something that the Committee ultimately would have to study, if this market could support another team," he said. "But my sense is that you can".
The question is badly Sacramento, Stern said, is obsolete Power Balance Pavilion, formerly known as ARCO Arena.
"We cannot deny that the Pavilion of the balance of power is an inadequate system, its last legs and has been declared insufficient to host NCAA events and other events," said Stern. "So this is really focused on the building and the fact that there are (numerous proposals for arena) which have been turned in by the City Council, Mayor, California Expo, voters ... There is no shortage of people who have said no."
During his presentation on Thursday, Johnson, the Mayor of Sacramento, said billionaire Ron Burkle is interested in buying the King from the Maloofs or leading the effort to bring another team to Sacramento, where the King moves. Johnson has also revealed details of a proposed downtown arena that would have helped his investors support.
